Alia Bhatt will soon join Aditya Chopra’s detective universe, claims a recent report. The ambitious espionage universe’s most recent film, this year’s “Pathan,” was a box office success for Yash Raj Films. Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan will come next. In the midst of all these releases, Alia Bhatt has reportedly been cast as the lead in a high-profile spy movie that will begin production next year.
In the YRF movie, Alia will reportedly portray a detective in a role she previously played in Raazi, but in a never-before-seen avatar. Heart of Stone, in which Alia plays the villain, is currently in production and is set for release. She also has Rocky and Rani’s Love Story by Karan Johar in her bag.

According to a source cited in a Pinkvilla report about Alia’s entrance into the world of espionage at YRF, “With Alia Bhatt as the female lead, Aditya Chopra and crew have planned an epic spy movie that will hopefully inspire her to move on. Alia’s inclusion in the Spy universe demonstrates that Aditya Chopra is including all potential viewers. She will be portraying a spy in a fast-paced action drama, which will be a wonderful novelty for the audience she adores. Like never before, Alia Bhatt will be the star.”
“Aditya Chopra is very excited about Alia and has big plans for her character arc in his universe,” the source continued. He plans to present the as-yet-untitled movie on a scale that no one can imagine in order to launch a franchise within the Spy Universe centered around Alia’s character.

Ek Tha Tiger, a 2012 movie starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and its 2017 sequel, Tiger Zinda Hai, established the espionage universe created by YRF. With the release of the 2019 film War, in which Tiger Shroff also starred but lost his character, Hrithik Roshan entered the espionage genre. This year’s Pathan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, came after it. Tiger 3 is currently in production, and Salman and Katrina will return.
