The seventh match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between the reigning champion Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) is now taking place in New Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The opening over of the game nearly resulted in the dismissal of DC starter and skipper David Warner by GT pacer Mohammed Shami.

Warner was astounded by Shami’s flawless swing bowling abilities. The batsman was caught off guard when the right-arm fast bowler bowled a ball that was just above the length but moved away abruptly. The Titans were sure they had their man when the ball flew past the goalkeeper and went straight for an appeal. The umpire denied the request, thus the Titans chose not to have the judgment reviewed. Replays, however, revealed that the ball just touched the stumps and did not clear the bails. The GT players were shocked by this information and angry that they had missed out on getting Warner for a prized wicket.

 

Speaking of the game, the Titans defeated the Capitals by a margin of 6 wickets to earn their second straight victory. B Sai Sudarshan had an undefeated half-century. Then Shami Rashid Khan took three more wickets. aided Gujarat to continue their perfect record in the competition.

The Titans struggled to get going while trying to chase 163, losing three wickets in just 54 runs. However, Vijay Shankar and Sudarshan Make a key 53-run alliance to steady the ship. Richard Miller The Titans, who had traveled from Johannesburg a day earlier to Delhi, finished the chase with 11 balls remaining and six wickets in hand.
