Known for his roles in “Kaminey,” “Love Shagun,” “Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani,” and “Luka Chuppi,” actor Vishwanath Chatterjee currently portrays a lawyer named Benny in the sitcom “Happu Ki Ultan Paltan.”
He discussed his current programs, his funny roles in cinema and television, as well as the difficulties of doing so.
In movies and on television, Vishwanath Chatterjee performs comedic roles. When asked which genre he finds most appealing or whether he enjoys making people laugh the most, he responded, “As an actor, I want to experiment rather than commit to one genre. I have always loved the comedic parts I have played in my career. The hardest task for any performer is getting the audience to laugh, so I’m delighted I was able to pull it off. I use situational and lighthearted humor in my performances, which immediately engages the audience.
“I also enjoy doing it. Nonetheless, I would still like to play a serious role, preferably a bad one. I want to portray a memorable figure who is well-drawn. It doesn’t matter if it’s a lead or a supporting character as long as it’s engaging, fascinating, and entertaining, the actor remarked.
Vishwanath Chatterjee stated of his role Benny and what makes it interesting for the audience: “I am overwhelmed by the audience response, and I can’t thank them enough for showing me so much affection. Can’t say thanks Beni is respected whenever Happu, his friend, and his brother-in-law come to him with their issues. He supports her through all of her issues, but occasionally he also contributes to them. The fans are fascinated on our show because of the misfortunes that Happu and Beni experience and their humorous outfits.
Yogesh Tripathi, who played his on-screen companion Happu, and I have been friends for four years now, he said, describing our relationship. Now, we resemble a family. We spent a lot of time filming her because she is in the majority of my scenes in the show. We sit together, share jokes, and laugh heartily even when we are not performing on stage. During practices, we keep tugging each other’s socks, which is entertaining.
He has been in numerous films, but for him, the subject is more important than the format. As a result, he made the decision to accept the good TV parts that came his way.
“I want to do terrific work as an actor, on any platform. When I was cast as an episodic character in one of Shashank Bali’s productions, my friend Kavita Kaushik gave him my contact information. He was quite taken by my acting, but I never imagined that our relationship would endure this long. They informed me that they intended to cast me as Happu’s lawyer pal in their upcoming film, “Happu Ki Ultan Paltan.” I replied “yes” right away “the actor who played Luka Chuppi remarked.
