Working on this project was a dream come true and now that the trailer is out It feels like another dream come true. It has been the greatest experience of my life which I can’t even describe in words.”
“You can imagine my nervousness at being my first film with such talented actors and I am really grateful for that. He is so attached with Aditya and is ready with the script to help me get better. Mrunal immerses herself in it completely and she trusts the process and has done a good job. So, I really enjoyed working with all the actors. It is a team game which What makes a film and everyone’s participation makes it the best.
Gumraah stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur in dual roles, who will be playing the role of a cop for the first time.
Aditya also said: “We did many night shoots in the film but Vardhan was always energetic even in the morning he never slept. Vardhan did such a good job by writing two characters that felt different.”
Mrunal praised the goofy director and said: “He is one of those directors who is very focused and clear in his mind about what he wants from his actors and what kind of takes they need. Many times I went to him saying I don’t think I can do this, he motivated me saying you got this. Sometimes my voice softened and he always reminded me to be strong as a police officer.”
The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios. ‘Gumrah’ will release in theaters on April 7.
