Udit Narayan has alleged that Ranjana Jha is trying to extract money from him, according to Navbharat Times. A case against him had previously been brought before the Bihar Women’s Commission, but it was resolved at the time.
According to the report, Ranjana Jha had been receiving financial help from Udit Narayan, who raised his monthly payment to Rs. 25,000 in 2021 from Rs. 15,000 at first. In addition, he gifted her a mansion valued at Rs. 1 crore and lands. The Bihar Women’s Commission also discovered that he had given her a piece of land and jewels valued at Rs. 25 lakh, which she subsequently sold.
Ranjana Jha said through her attorney that her main desire as she gets older and her health worsens is to be with Udit Narayan and live out the rest of her days with him.
She told the reporters after the court that she felt ignored by Udit and that he had embezzled Rs. 18 lakh from the sale of their farm. She further said that she gets intimidated and threatened anytime she travels to Mumbai, which makes her feel insecure.
Ranjana Jha and Udit Narayan were married in 1984, but their marriage soured as his career took off. Ranjana claimed that he steadily turned away from her, eventually refusing to accept their marriage and abandoning her.
In 2006, Ranjana Jha went to the Women’s Commission to seek protection. She later stated that Udit Narayan never completely fulfilled his early promises to provide her with a home and financial support.
As Udit Narayan receives criticism for his widely shared kiss episode, this debate emerges. He kissed a female fan on the lips when she came up to take selfies during a live performance of “Tip Tip Barsa Pani,” according to a video. The video swiftly went viral on social media, drawing criticism from many who thought his behavior was improper.
