Former performers have often criticised the music industry’s most recent auto-tune culture. Some in the music business, like Asha Bhosle, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, and others, have never been afraid to share their opinions on the obvious changes in the songs of today’s generation. Kavita Krishnamurthy dropped a truth bomb on the subject by using the example of asking individuals to waste time singing “better” when computers are available to do so.

One of B-most Town’s prominent and well-known vocalists, Kavita has contributed her vocals to a number of well-known Bollywood songs, including Tumse Milkar, Hawa Hawai, Tu Hi Re, Koi Mil Gaya, and Gori Teri Aankhen.

We just came across a video of Kavita Krishnamurthy discussing the use of Auto-Tune and musical software to perfect the song’s tempo and tune, which has now gone viral on social media. In 2016, Kavita said to the crowd during one of her performances at a Bangalore event, “A vocalist like me can sing a five-minute long song. I performed for Khayyam Saab, and in his ghazal songs, there is no breathing space between lines. You know how Khayyam sahib and his poetry were, he used to say, “My poetry will break.”

Kavita Krishnamurthy continued by relating the story, “So today, when I am summoned for recording a song..(sings) “Tumko”…ga diya, “Ek aur baar”… Tumko..’Ok Kavita ji next line’, (hums a melody) That’s it. (I sing a single word repeatedly, followed by a little phrase, and then I’m done. Nowadays, songs are created in this manner. I then think, “I should sing this phrase again, in a better key.” But, I am informed that it is unnecessary. We have the equipment, so what’s the point of the song? We can pitch it to you. Will work)” Hence, you are no longer required to sing or beat-box in tune. You sing it in one beat, and it will be transposed to the other (pointing to opposite sides).

So, a vocalist is not required to sing in tune or in time with the beat. What then do you look for in a singer? I’ve been informed, “We want attitude, gotta have attitude.” You can all try your hand at singing if you have a positive mindset, she said in conclusion.

Kavita Krishnamurthy has performed songs in languages other than Hindi, including Odia, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, English, Telugu, Urdu, Gujarati, Malayalam, Nepali, Konkani, Assamese, and Punjabi. Other.
