On the set of her upcoming production “Bheed,” Dia Mirza celebrates her 40th birthday.
Bheed, a socio-political drama directed by Anubhav Sinha, debuted to rave reviews for its potent message and outstanding cast. The movie’s central character, Dia Mirza, said it was a remarkable experience to work on such a significant project with such a brilliant cast and crew in a far-flung yet exotic location in Uttar Pradesh. It was wonderful to work together, end the day with dialogue and the satisfaction of a job well done, and share a joke and a sense of camaraderie.
“One of the most lovely experiences during the filming was celebrating my birthday with Anubhav Sinha and my co-stars, Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Pankaj ji (Kapoor), and Ashutosh ji,” says Dia, who also claims that the set seemed like a second home (Rana). Since I couldn’t fly back to my family, the actors and crew went above and beyond to make me feel very unique.
Dia also talked about how crucial it is for her to work in current movies and portray roles that inspire in-depth reflection on significant subjects. On the verge of turning 40, she says, “I am fortunate to play a character who I hope makes people think about privilege and the need for social consciousness, empathy, and basic humanity in daily interactions.”
The movie “Bheed,” which was just released last month in theaters all over the world, describes what happens after the country goes into lockdown in 2020 due of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dia Mirza has been in the entertainment industry for almost 23 years, yet she feels the need to reinvent herself since she feels like she is waiting forever for excellent work and good movies to come her way.
Dia Mirza recently discussed her feelings of heartbreak in an interview with Indian Express, stating, “The sadness when your story doesn’t gain an audience, the heartache is when your stories don’t happen. Producers don’t understand how painful it is to wait forever for someone to send you work. It’s incredibly difficult. When you consider, “Alright, this movie! Since everyone has loved it, adored my part, and it will make its way to more,” and you suddenly find yourself gnawing on that stone block once more, pleading for anything to have happened. I’ve come to terms with the fact that the wait will never end.
