The Samajwadi Party’s Fahadh Ahmed and actress Swara Bhasker have been sharing glimpses of their recent pre-wedding events. The couple claimed to have been married in court and to have filed their paperwork on January 6 in accordance with the Special Marriage Act. With their loved ones, they recently participated in pre-wedding festivities like haldi, mehendi, and sangeet. Swara and Fahadh discuss organizing wedding celebrations that “were common to both their cultures” in a recent interview.
Both Swara and Fahadh declared that they are “extremely conscious and proud” of being Muslims and Hindus, respectively. He described the haldi, mehndi, and sangeet rituals that are performed at both Hindu and Muslim weddings. As a “interfaith couple who do not convert,” Swara and Fahadh said they could only get married in court, which is exactly what they did. They aimed to “create up a common heritage of festivities” with their marriage feasts.
The pair said in an interview with Times of India that they are both highly aware of and proud of their identities and that nobody wants to change them. Such things have been planned. which both of our cultures share. One item that occurs in our nation is turmeric. Both. Muslims refer to it as Ubtan. Both sides receive mehndi. There is music on both sides. A non-converting intercaste couple in India can only be legally wed in a court under the Special Marriage Act, which is what we have done. We are currently working to establish a shared celebrational culture.
Swara Bhasker and Fahadh Ahmed both remembered their initial encounters. While Fahadh claimed to have first encountered Swara in her 2013 film Raanjhanaa, the actor claimed that their first encounter was when Swara was speaking at a rally and mending the microphone. Fahadh remarked, “I watched her for the first time in Raanjhanaa Mein Dekha, and I truly liked the way she acted. I Googled her because I was unsure of who she was. Kiya… On December 19, 2019, there was a protest against CAA, and someone told me, “Madam (Swara) is quite a revolutionary, so call her.'” This is where we first met.
Swara said, “The August Kranti Maidan is big,” and described how she got confused when she arrived for the demonstration. The actress claimed that when she finally made it to the platform, she had no idea what Fahadh looked like and was yelling out “Fahadh kaun hai” (Who is Fahadh) on stage. She claimed that when she did finally see him, he appeared to be quite unhappy as he worked on the microphone. According to reports, the two made friends after meeting at another demonstration. They used to discuss politics, according to Swara, because they shared the same ideals.
The two claimed they started communicating to each other about their personal lives in 2021, more than a year after their initial encounter. Swara claimed that her friends began asking about Fahadh and told him that “this boy loves you” even though she had never considered that there might be more to their relationship than just friendship. Swara claimed that when she decided to ask Fahadh what their “perspective” was after much argument with her friend, he informed her that he was “in love” with her. Swara recalled Fahadh’s request that she wait a year and a half so he could become financially secure and they could get married.
Swara Bhaskar tweeted about her upcoming nuptials to Fahadh Ahmed on February 16. The progression of their relationship was also discussed. She displayed court-taken pictures and mentioned that she chose a court wedding and submitted her paperwork on January 6 in accordance with the Special Marriage Act. On Instagram and Twitter, the actors have been posting images and videos from their wedding celebrations.
