“Dhadkan’s” production took roughly three to four years, he said. Before narrating the script, director Dharmesh ji came to me and shared something with me. He assured me that I would adore the part and that I would win my first prize for it. His confidence inspired me because at the time, a lot of people thought I only existed because of action movies.
Dharmesh Darshan is the director. The lead actors of the romance drama movie “Dhadkan” from 2000 are Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, and Sunil Shetty. Wuthering Heights, an 1847 book by Emily Bronte, served as inspiration for this tale.
Suniel Shetty continued, “I said ‘yes’ to the job but Dharmesh ji postponed the shoot for four to five months and due to shooting commitments, I could not modify the dates. refused to adapt. I had to leave the movie, and it broke my heart. They began filming with another person, but Dharmesh ji was sceptic since he believed that only I could accurately portray Dev’s character.
In the 1990s, Sunil starred in numerous action movies and became well-known for roles in “Dilwale,” “Mohra,” “Gopi Kishan,” and “Rakshak.” Subsequently, he began acting in different genres and appeared in movies like “Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat,” “Dhadkan,” or comedies like “Hera Pheri,” among many others. He presently appears in “Hunter – Tootega Nahi Todega,” a web series.
Also, the 61-year-old actor picked up a valuable lesson while filming “Dhadkan”.
“Being such a prominent filmmaker, I was genuinely touched by it when he came back to me. In the end, I discovered a very significant lesson about acting: it all comes down to your confidence and your trust in the role. I really won the Best Villain prize because it worked so well for me.
