Sooraj Pancholi was declared not guilty on Friday in the death case involving his former girlfriend Jiah Khan. In June 2013, the actor was detained on suspicion of aiding suicide. Sooraj was declared innocent in the case on April 28 by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court judge named AS Sayyed, who cited a “lack of evidence” as the reason for his decision. On the court visit, Sooraj was accompanied by his mother, the actress Zarina Wahab. She revealed that the first person she messaged after leaving the court was Salman Khan. Salman has been the actor’s supporter for the past ten years, the actor revealed.

Hero, Sooraj Pancholi’s debut film, was coproduced by Salman Khan (2015).

In the Nikkhil Advani-directed film Hero (2015), Sooraj and Athiya Shetty made their acting debuts. Co-producing the movie with Salman was director Subhash Ghai. Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Seshadri starred in the 1983 musical hit Hero remake directed by Subhash. Actor Aditya Pancholi, the father of Sooraj, also appeared in the movie.

Sooraj claimed in a conversation with Bombay Times that “My parents do not consider Salman Khan to be a buddy. Since they all work in the same field, it goes without saying that they are acquainted. Tiger Ka Main Ek Tha There, Eddie approached me and offered to produce my debut movie. He continued to develop the movie (Hero) even though I was accused of it in 2013, two years before it was released, and he stayed by me.

The actor continued, “He has done more for me than anyone else, but I am aware of my limitations and I won’t abuse our relationship. I’ve had a hundred meetings with him, but never for work. I messaged him first, and he was the recipient. Sooraj, if you know in your heart that you have done nothing wrong, then you have nothing to worry about, he said to me as I left the court.

Sooraj made his directorial debut as an assistant on the films Guzaarish (2010) and Ek Tha Tiger (2012). After Hero, he acted in the films Time to Dance (2019) and Satellite Shankar (2019). (2021). Although a release date for the biopic on the legendary boxer Hawa Singh has not yet been announced, he is slated to play the lead role.
