Amit Sadh previously made headlines when he talked about the suicide of his close friend and co-star in Kai Po Che, Sushant Singh Rajput. The actor shocked the country on June 14, 2020, when he took the extreme step and killed himself. Three to four months before he departed for his eternal dwelling, Sadh divulged unknown details and his sadness over SSR’s passing. Actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani recounted the moment she told SSR in a heartwarming discussion in a recent interview.
The former actress is currently the Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs. She gained notoriety with the popular television program Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Irani recalled how much SSR’s passing hurt her in a recent interview.
Smriti Irani discussed her experience on Nilesh Mishra’s The Slow Interview, including the precise moment she learned of Sushant Singh Rajput’s passing. “I was on a VC the day Sushant passed away” (video conference). Several people were present. Yet, I was unable to… I told it to stop. Why didn’t he call me, I wondered? He ought to have made one call. The ex-actress claimed, “I told the boy, “Tum yaar marna mat aapne ko.”
He recalls calling Amit Sadh shortly after Sushant Singh Rajput’s passing during the same conversation. “I started to fear for Amit Sadh right away. I called him and inquired as to his whereabouts. The child would erroneously act, I knew it. I don’t want to stay; what did this moron do, he said. I became aware that there was a problem. I was told by publicist Rohini Iyer, “I am really afraid, someone should find them,”
Smriti Irani, remembering what Amit had said, remarked, “He asked me, ‘You don’t have a job?'” “I do, but let’s discuss now,” I replied.
