Less than a week after Satish Kaushik’s passing, his 10-year-old daughter Vanshika erased her Instagram account. The actor and director went suddenly on March 9 in Delhi after suffering a heart attack. Last Thursday, his final rites were carried out at the Versova crematorium after his body was returned to Mumbai. At the funeral, Vanshika posted a photo of herself cuddling her father.
Vanshika Kaushik uploaded an old photo of herself and Satish on Thursday night. Both the father and the daughter were grinning for the camera while they were hugging each other. In lieu of a caption, Vanshika simply put a red heart emoji to the Instagram post.
In the comments section of his post, the actor’s admirers expressed their condolences to Vanshika and Satish’s family. A supporter had stated, “Your father will always remain a part of you and will be keeping an eye on you. You will always carry him in your memories and heart. Hugs and a lot of love to you.” Another supporter had advised the singer to “Be strong and take care of your mom.”
In 1985, Satish and Shashi Kaushik became husband and wife. Shanu Kaushik, their two-year-old son, passed away in 1996. Vanshika, their second child, was delivered via surrogate in 2012.
The actor used to be very active on social media and frequently provided information about his personal and professional lives. Also, he shared films and images with his family as well as photos and videos from his professional initiatives. Satish had written in January about a Sunday family outing to the outskirts of Bombay. He had disclosed, “Sunday excursion to a stunning oleander farm in Karjat with Shashi and Vanshika. Vanshika had a lovely day playing in the Let’s Play Adventure Park on the same farm while her delicious lunch at Salt restaurant.”
He last appeared in Chhatriwali on Zee5 in January. He filmed his role as politician Jagjivan Ram in Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency. Kaagaz 2, his next film in the role of director, is also nearly finished. Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Smriti Kalra, Anang Desai, Neena Gupta, and she herself star in the drama, which is a prequel to the 2021 movie Kaagaz.
