The struggle of migrant laborers in India during the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020 is the focus of Anubhav Sinha’s film “Bheed,” which contrasts the scenario with the Partition of India in 1947. Since it was first announced, the movie has received a lot of positive attention. For anyone who are curious about what happened to the migrant workers during the first wave of Covid, “Bheed” is a must-watch. It features stunning black-and-white images, electrifying performances, a catchy background score, and clever lyrics by Dr. Sagar.
One of the founding members of the music business and a gifted writer, Dr. Sagar is well renowned for his original compositions. He is one of these gifted lyricists who has provided us with a vast array of lovely poetic songs. And, following the enormous success of her work in “Bollywood Diaries,” “Khakee: The Bihar Chapter,” and “Maharani Seasons 2,” which received an overwhelming response from the audience, the talented lyricist is also receiving praise for her eagerly anticipated “Harel Baa” song from the movie “Bheed.”
Dr. Sagar exclaims, “I am happy with the way the music has turned out,” expressing his excitement. Writing songs like these definitely encourages me as a songwriter. The rawness and reality of this song will undoubtedly connect with listeners and improve the whole cinematic experience.
The song is a crucial component of the narrative, so Dr. Sagar continued, “I wanted to really elevate the performance with the eerie lyrics. I really wanted to capture in song the agony and heartbreaking reality in the movie since the movie is about the hardship of migrant workers during the first wave of Covid 19.
“Bhojpuri music hasn’t yet established a presence in the Bollywood market. Why not employ Bhojpuri music if Punjabi songs can be used in popular Bollywood films? I’m overjoyed to have had the chance to join the crowd after the audience response.
“He is such a rare genius in Bhojpuri literature, I wonder how, in the last 30 years, he has continued to trust that his legacy of Bhojpuri writing The brand would go mainstream someday,” the director Anubhav had earlier praised Dr. Sagar on Twitter.
With his songs, Dr. Sagar has once again astounded us, and we are eager to hear what else the amazing musician has in store.
