Dexter Fletcher, a filmmaker currently marketing his new movie Ghosted, which stars Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, has recently said that one day he would love to helm a Bollywood production. When the director mentioned that he might be making a sequel to the 2003 movie Kal Ho Naa Ho, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan, he also had a specific movie in mind.

Ghosted follows Chris Evans Cole as he develops a deep romantic attachment to the enigmatic Sadie, played by Ana de Armas, only to learn shockingly that she is a covert operative. On April 21, Apple TV+ will launch the movie. The 2019 biopic Rocketman, starring Taron Egerton and based on the life of Elton John, was directed by Dexter Fletcher.
Dexter was recently asked if he would be interested in directing a Bollywood movie during an interview with Good Times Now, to which he promptly responded, “I’d adore to carry it out! I’d adore doing it. Two Kal Ho Naa Hos! The boy’s identity “I can’t seem to recall… That would be incredible, even though I adored the film Kal Ho Naa Ho!”
Nikkhil Advani and Karan Johar collaborated on the 2003 film Kal Ho Naa Ho, which they also directed. Eight Filmfare Awards and two National Awards were won by it. Karan Johar previously acknowledged that he still feels bad about not directing the movie, which ended up being Nikkhil Advani’s dream debut. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the latter had stated, “I don’t blame him for feeling regret. He penned it with sincerity. However, I believe he underestimated his abilities and believed he wouldn’t be able to do it justice. I can now feel his suffering when he says this.”
Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, directed by Karan Johar and starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra, is scheduled for release in the near future. Release day for the movie is July 28, 2023.
