Reliance Brands Ltd, a division of Reliance Retail Ventures, the retail division of Reliance Industries, is reportedly in talks to purchase Add-a-Mamma, the children’s clothing line owned by actress Alia Bhatt, for $300–350 million. A recent report claims that negotiations between Reliance Brands and Ad-e-Mamma are nearing their conclusion and that a deal will likely be reached within the next few days.

About Add-a-Mamma

Eternia Creative & Merchandising, whose director is Alia Bhatt, is the owner of the Ad-A-Mamma brand. Ed-a-Mamma was founded in 2020 and focuses on offering reasonably priced sustainable clothing options for children. Although it sells through some significant retail chains, the kidswear brand sells its products primarily online. Maternity wear was added to the brand’s product offering last year. Rah Kapoor, their first child, was born to Alia in November 2022.

Reliance May Buy Alia Bhatt’s Ad-E-Mamma

According to industry insiders cited by The Economic Times, a contract between Reliance Brands Ltd. and Ad-e-Mamma is likely to be signed within the next seven to ten days. The executive claimed that the agreement would give Reliance more clout in the market for children’s clothing. The deal, which is expected to be close, will likely be between 300 and 350 crores.

Alia stated last year to news agency PTI, when asked about her plans for Ed-e-Mamma for the following two to three years, “I would like to expand more into the baby segment. More vertical categories in and related to family care are something I would like to add.
