Suniel Shetty, KL Rahul’s father-in-law, recently offered his opinion on the issue that the cricketers KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya caused on social media a few years ago. The actor claimed that Hardik may have “gone away,” but Karan Johar, the host of a celebrity chat show, persisted in pressing him. The format of Koffee with Karan, according to Sunil, “gets the kids excited and they talk.” Reddit is now responding to Sunil’s most recent statement.

Some of the players’ statements were seen to be “sexist” during their Koffee With Karan session in the sixth season of the Karan Johar-hosted show in 2019. He apologized to the public and his teammates, but the BCCI nonetheless punished him and disqualified him from the three-match ODI series against Australia. Thereafter, the BCCI assessed each of them a 20 lakh fine. At the time, director Karan Johar also expressed his sense of being “extremely responsible” for the effects on the cricket players.

“You know when his (KL Rahul) and Hardik (Pandya) interview came… Hardik probably got carried away. But what do you do when you have an anchor (Karan Johar) shoving it down your throat? So that’s the format of the show (Koffee With Karan), you get the kids excited and they say something and then Bollywood is being banned,” Sunil told Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast The Ranveer Show.

The actor said, “So I think we all need to be responsible, you as an anchor, me as a guest, because just because you ask me a question that I don’t think I can answer doesn’t mean I should feel inferior to someone else. Things go wrong when something occurs, and they shouldn’t ever go wrong. You have the authority to state things clearly. Gotta possess the fortitude to accept themselves as they are.

Bolly Blinds N Gossip recently posted a video of Sunil chatting in the role of Koffee With Karan and Karan Johar’s host on Reddit, and many people appear to share his opinion. KL Rahul didn’t say anything negative, didn’t he, according to one commenter? He wasn’t quite a “child” when he appeared on the show, but I concur with Sunil’s final statement that both hosts and guests should be authentic. They are accountable for their words. KL Rahul was in the wrong position at the wrong time, according to another criticism. I didn’t merit the criticism. Hardik was acting inappropriately, and Karan had provoked him.

The purpose of appearing on “Koffee With Karan” (KWK) is to talk and provide sassy responses; otherwise, don’t go on the show or don’t respond, said another user. Saying “no comment” will get no reaction. Also, I’ve never understood the need for any of this to appear on KWK.
