Actor Ravi Dubey talks about his look in his upcoming film ‘Faraday’, where he had to physically and mentally transform himself to get into the character.
The actor shared that he also went through a psychological transformation while shooting for the film.
Ravi said: “In this character, physical and other kinds of aesthetic changes are secondary. The most important factor is that I get to delve into the psyche and core ethos of such a character. So psychological change is important for any character but for this kind of character it is of utmost priority and importance.
On what he did to get into the character of Rajan, Ravi Dubey said, “I am very careful about what I eat. Fitness is a way of life. Achieving the distinctive look was definitely a lot of hard work. I took full care of fitness and diet. When you’re getting ready for a complex character, of course the transformation, both physical and mental, is important.
He spoke about how such a character affects his mental and physical health and how he deals with it.
“I am sure all actors will feel that once they are in the zone of a certain character, time passes quickly. And I am glad that people found it interesting. It is a big step forward, not only for me. But for the entire team that is going ahead with this film and our production. As an audience, I would love to see a film like this. And so, I decided that we should make it and we should tell the story .
Talking about making a film like ‘Faraday’, he shared: “When we actually conceptualized the film, we knew this was the route we should go. We should also keep in mind that we made it on a shoestring budget. I didn’t think that being an abstract film would get many takers for the film. So we didn’t really go through the process of going to people and saying, this is a story that we believe in, and Want you to make it. We decided to take a leap of faith and do it ourselves.
Faraday is a film directed by Ankur Pajni, produced by Ravi and Sargun Mehta’s Dreamitya Entertainment. The film will release in December.
