Sonam and Rajkummar previously collaborated on the movie Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Sonam discussed the advantages and disadvantages of being from an industry family and being an actor during a promotional interview for the movie.
Rajkumar told News18 that he doesn’t want to sit around and worry about things that happened a long time ago when he was asked about the popular video. “The video was manipulated such that it depicts my responses to various things. It took place in the distant past. I’m not the type to sit and contemplate things. It was right then. One of the most generous persons is Sonam. One of the females I’ve met around here. She has great sincerity. She has always been there for everyone, not just for me. She was saying what she thought, and I was saying what I meant. She added that Sonam is a close friend of his and that he just paid him a visit to meet his kid Vayu. He asserted that their relationship had remained unchanged.
The popular video was a companion piece to a movie. Rajkummar asks Sonam Kapoor at the start of the video if she believes star kids control the industry. She retorted that although star kids may have protection, they don’t really have much of an advantage beyond growing up among individuals in the profession. The drawback to that, he continued, is that many of them don’t take you seriously because they believe you to be a child. That professional component just disappears because of an uncle or anything (“goes.” for Star Kids). Under the banyan tree, not much else grows either. There will always be comparisons if you’re the son or daughter of a highly successful person. Finding your identity and way might be challenging.
She added that the situation is not exclusive to Bollywood or India, but also to Hollywood, where the top stars, such as Robert Downey Jr. and Jennifer Aniston, are star kids. In the interview, Sonam also mentioned that it took her five years to land her first acting role. She also revealed that her father, Anil Kapoor, resisted her desire to work as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s assistant when she was just 17 years old. advised him to collaborate with Vidhu Vinod Chopra. According to Sonam, Anil told her that while Sanjay did not know Vidhu well, she was his friend. Eventually, Sonam made her acting debut in Sanjay’s Saawariya in 2007.
