Rahul acknowledges that Bollywood has “underrated” him based on the roles that are being presented to him. Despite “following the same formula as films of the 1970s and 1980s” and essentially “telling the same story,” he continued, South films were performing “good.” He claimed that, in contrast to actual life, the speech and acting in South Indian movies are “bigger than life,” and the action and battle scenes are “over the top.”
“While his movies are successful in the South, they all adhere to the style of movies from the 1970s and 1980s. There are some excellent action and fight moments that are not representative of real-world combat, and the dialogue and acting are larger than life. Yet, the manner in which a single narrative is told, the method the story is conveyed, and the way the story moves and enthralls the audience are the things that count. Hence, it simply depends on how the tale is told and how readers interpret it. I wish to get cast in such parts “Rahul spoke with News18.
Also, he discussed his acting career, saying, “Now, especially in OTT, the talent format of an actor is a very natural format. I am larger than life since I come from an educated family and background. You leave your intellect and thinking at home when you watch a movie. Fighting between two people. Do you rip each other’s shirts off or show off your physique in real life? It occurs in a for-profit setting, and it is detrimental. not because a lot of people enjoy watching it. Who are we to determine what is morally right and wrong? Simply put, creativity is an expression. And you can express this kind of expression in any way.”
Rahul, who has been in movies like Champion, Omkara, Torbaaz, and Raat Baaki Hai, most recently appeared alongside Kiccha Sudeep in the Kannada film Kabzaa. Shriya Saran and Upendra are also featured. Last month saw the release of this movie.
