Along with co-star Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is now promoting the science fiction action thriller series Citadel in India. The “Desi Girl” recently made headlines for her stylish attire at an event at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC), but she was also in the news for a recent statement she made about why she left the Bollywood industry.
For those who don’t know, Priyanka made some shocking claims during an interview with Dax Shepherd for his podcast Armchair Expert, including disclosing the real reason she wanted to leave Bollywood. According to a quote, she felt like she was “being forced into a corner.” I had disagreements with folks and people who weren’t casting me. Also, she expressed her “tiredness of politics.” So he made the decision to travel to America.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas was questioned about his surprising words and her response while promoting Citadel in the city. PC responded in the press conference, “I was questioned about my life’s experience when I was on the show. I discussed my youth and the events that occurred when I was 10, 15, 22, 30, and 40 years old. I was discussing how my path actually played out.
“And finally, I was confident enough to talk about that era in my life,” Priyanka Chopra Jonas continued. I was at a place where I could express how I was feeling. I feel that my relationship with what transpired has been very rocky, but I have forgiven. I made peace with it a long time ago and went on. Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ next acting project is The Citadel, which also stars Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci. On April 28, the series will make its Amazon Video debut.
