To dispel the “baseless” reports that the Ishaan Khatter-starring movie Pippa will be available on an OTT service, the production team issued a formal declaration.
RSPV Cinema shared a post on its Twitter page in which it provided an official denial of the Pippa OTT release rumours. The message read, “This is in reference to an article that was published in a newspaper yesterday under the headline “Piped for an OTT release,” which made some comments about the alleged conflicts between PIPPA’s creators and multiplex operators but made utterly irrational claims that led PIPPA to allegedly choose an OTT release. Before to the publishing of this article on Pippa’s release, no multiplex operator or the manufacturers were contacted for comment.”
According to Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur of PVRINOX and Kamal Gianchandani, president of the Multiplex Association of India (MAI), RSVP and Roy Kapur Films have no concerns with multiplex operators. Any claims to the contrary made in rumours or articles are false and unfounded.
