Actress Patralekhaa, most recently seen in the streaming series “R Ai Paar,” is prepared to begin production on her upcoming film, named “Phule,” in the first week of April.
The actress will take on the role of Savitribai Phule, a social activist and pioneer of the Indian feminist movement who is credited with establishing women’s education in India. Jyotiba Phule’s wife, Savitribai, is credited with transforming India’s social climate through combating caste prejudice.
Recently, the actress was sighted at the director Ananth Mahadevan’s workplace. Patralekha responded favorably as the firing began. Savitribai Phule, he claimed, “led female literacy in the nation as a pioneer. Her life is portrayed as a textbook example of a powerful woman. Playing the mother of Indian feminism on cinema is an amazing honor.
Ananth Mahadevan, who won the National Film Award for another story with a strong female lead, “Mee Sindhutai Sapkal,” will helm the movie. The biography chronicles the life of social worker Sindhutai Sapkal, who labored to house and raise homeless children.
The movie also introduces Patralekhaa and Prateek Gandhi as a fresh combination. On the work front, Patralekhaa may be seen with actor Maanvi Gagroo on a road journey in the films “Heer Sara,” “Gulkand Tales,” and an untitled Luv Ranjan dramedy.
