56 days after its theatrical release, on March 22, the smash hit Pathan will make its Amazon Video debut. There might also be some deleted parts in Siddharth Anand’s movie. One segment that explained Pathan’s background was cut from the theatrical version, the filmmaker said. On January 25, the action movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham came out.
Pathan, which was made by Yash Raj Productions, has become the most popular Hindi movie of all time. As it continues to play in Indian theaters as well as those in the US, Canada, UAE, Egypt, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, it marked its 50th day on Wednesday. 540 crores have been made so far at the domestic box office by a Hindi film. The movie’s digital premiere would happen 56 days after its theatrical release, according to a report in Peeping Moon.
There may be some further content available for fans of Pathan in the OTT release on Prime Video. The director had made hints about the faith and history of the main character in an interview. In one scenario, Pathan (Shah Rukh Khan) is questioned by Rubai (Deepika) about his religion. He claims that after saving children in an Afghan village, he was given the name Pathan. The filmmaker also disclosed that for Salman Khan’s unique cameo moment in the train, he wanted him to make a reference to his 1995 film Karan Arjun, which starred Shah Rukh. “I urged Salman to exclaim ‘Bhaag Pathan Bhaag’ and told him to make it seem like ‘Bhaag Arjun Bhaag (from Karan Arjun)’,” he said to Hindustan Times. The script did not include it. I had to get Salman to participate since it was amusing. It was pretty humorous.
Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia are also featured in Pathan. Vishal-Shekhar wrote the soundtrack for the movie.
