Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has sued his ex-wife Aaliya Siddiqui, aka Zainab Siddiqui, for defamation in the Bombay High Court, seeking 100 crores in damages. Additionally, he claimed that Bhai Shamsuddin Siddiqui had made false and defamatory claims about him.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is known for his Sacred Games and Serious Men.
The actor has also sent a formal apology to his brother and ex-wife, according to news source PTI. He claimed in the case that Shamsuddin, who served as his manager in 2008, “blindly” trusted him with all financial duties. Shamasuddin allegedly started defrauding Nawazuddin and used the actor’s funds to purchase real estate.
Shamsuddin allegedly encouraged his ex-wife Aaliya to bring a false accusation against Nawazuddin when the actor learned about the adultery and raised concerns. The actor and Aaliya recently got into an argument about the property.
Nawazuddin meanwhile urged the High Court to enjoin Aaliya and her brother from ever saying anything negative about them. They charged him with stealing $21 billion from him.
According to the lawsuit, Shamasuddin and Aaliya banded together to threaten the actor when he demanded that the property be returned to him by using “cheap recordings and remarks on social media.” According to news agency PTI, the case will be heard by Judge Riyaz Chagla’s single bench on March 30.
Shamas, in response to the defamation lawsuit, leveled a number of accusations against Nawazuddin. She said in a tweet that the actor had wasted 11 years of her life and committed 11 additional significant crimes. The actor, according to him, has been married three times. Shamas stated in Hindi after sharing a lengthy number of such complaints, “My brother #NawazuddinSiddiqui these are not allegations but feelings.”
When Aaliya alleged that she was being mistreated in Nawazuddin’s Mumbai home in January, Nawazuddin made headlines. Shora and Yani, her children, had joined her after a trip to Dubai. A property dispute led to a complaint being made against the actor by his mother.
