Naseeruddin Reveals How He Started Acting
In the same interview, Naseeruddin went on to discuss how he got into acting, saying, “My school did a lot of plays.” I was certain that I could perform them better than the children did. When I did not pass a class, my father transferred me to a different school. In front of an audience, my four buddies and I performed scenes from The Merchant of Venice. I was certain at the age of 14 that this was what I wanted to accomplish with my life. My grades suddenly became better, and I got on the cricket team. I’ve never been the same! And my poor foolish father believed that I was studying, even though I wasn’t.”
