“It would be impossible for me to thrive in Bombay if I were to just rely on movies and web series. Although there may be a lot of employment in the industry, there are also too many actors. There is a lot of talent available and everyone wants to be an actor. Working together across platforms is crucial, according to actor Manto (2015) and facebook wala love (2019).
“I have two theater releases and my online series Mukesh Jasoos Streaming on a major platform, but I need to be on my toes in order to perfect my skill, the actor explains. I therefore perform in plays, dance shows, short movies, and even social media ads. It’s a chance for me to not only show off my work, but also to make decent money, which is crucial, she claims.
Model Thakkar is a trained fashion designer. “I started doing auditions after that, and I quickly received my first significant advertisement. I have completed more than 100 adverts to date. I got Manto, where I played the part of former star Suraiya, during my time modeling. Ila (Arun) ji, who I met there, directed me toward the theater. I saw Peer Ghani, which was directed by KK Raina, in person. I found the procedure enjoyable, and ever since then, I’ve also been acting in plays.”
The idea behind the short film, according to Thakkar, appeals to her as well “I recently finished filming Kunal Verma’s short film Murad, which will likely be shot in Lucknow. Kunal Verma’s short film Murad stars Sharib Hashmi and I did the lady in red. I was the female protagonist in the Tamil film ideal love, which has not yet been released and stars Ramesh Aravind. I also had a role in the feature film married again, which also stars Sharib, Sheeba Chadha, and Danish Hussain. It was recently completed and is soon to be released in Aligarh.
She explains how she is connected to the UP by saying, “My parents are from Meerut, where I was born and attended elementary school. My parents then traveled to Mumbai due to employment. My mother is a music composer and comes from a musical family. I’ve been interested in dance since I was in school, so perhaps all of this has influenced my path.
