Radhika Apte is back with the detective comedy Mrs. Undercover after giving a fun performance in Monica O My Love. On Sunday, the movie’s teaser was made public. According to her husband, it portrays Radhika as “simply a housewife,” but she actually has a secret identity as an undercover detective. “Home maker or bone breaker #NotJustAHousewife #MrsUndercover,” Radhika wrote as the Instagram caption for the preview. Soon to air on #ZEE5.

In the teaser, Radhika plays a housewife dressed in a saree who struggles with daily tasks while being totally uninformed of how things operate. She uses her butter fingers to carelessly drop objects while performing her duties, and when jar lids are missing, she even causes a mess by turning on the mixer. She responds, “Arre woh kuj nahi karti (She doesn’t do anything), she is simply a housewife,” when her husband, Saheb Chatterjee, asks what she does. Soon later, we witness Radhika battling the goons in the dark while looking lovely in a black bodysuit.
Radhika’s new appearance was adored by the public, who complimented her in the comments. “Radhika ji you always look amazing but the look is more lovely this time,” an admirer said. This is going to be enjoyable, I feel like it, another person wrote. Wait for dis boss lady to perform, said another. Superb, didi hamari gazab hi empowered chal rahi hai, said one of the remarks.
He co-wrote the screenplay for the Anushree Mehta-directed movie with Indoo Ki Jawani star Abir Sengupta. Rajesh Sharma and Sumeet Vyas also have significant parts in the movie.
On March 8th, International Women’s Day, the movie’s debut poster was released. She added the caption, “A housewife, an unrelenting agent, and a hero? Yes, all of that is possible! Celebrate the unsung heroines in our life on this #WomensDay!” The movie, which was made during the Covid pandemic’s second wave, will air on ZEE5 on April 28.
