At F1’s official launch show in London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday, the seven-time world champion made the remarks in front of his devoted supporters.
As Hamilton entered the stage alongside Ferrari team principal Frédéric Vasseur and colleague Charles Leclerc, he was greeted with a thunderous applause. Ferrari enthusiasts also had the opportunity to view the updated design for this season’s vehicle.
Hamilton grinned and addressed the audience, saying, “The term that comes to mind is enlivened because I feel so full of life and so much energy because everything is fresh.”
I am only thinking about the future. Being a member of the team is something new and exciting for me, and I am really proud of it.After 12 years with Mercedes, the 40-year-old Hamilton stunned the sport last year when it was revealed he would be joining the Italian team this season.
Since then, he has claimed that working for Ferrari has been like fulfilling a lifelong ambition.
As the team searches for its first driver’s world championship since 2007, the British driver will now partner up with Leclerc.
