The revival picks up years after the original series, with Hank and Peggy Hill returning to their hometown of Arlen, Texas, after working abroad in Saudi Arabia. Original creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels are back, joined by new showrunner Saladin K. Patterson. The voice cast includes Mike Judge (Hank Hill), Kathy Najimy (Peggy Hill), Pamela Adlon (Bobby Hill), Stephen Root (Bill Dauterive), and Lauren Tom (Minh). The late Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale Gribble, completed six episodes before his passing in 2023. Toby Huss will take over the role for the remaining episodes .
