Even Kareena Kapoor Khan’s kids are now recognized as superstars thanks to her degree of popularity. Even though Timur and Jeh are only two and six years old, respectively, they are constantly being watched.
The Crew is the next movie in which actress Kareena Kapoor Khan will appear.
Does her continual attention to her kids distress her as a mother? “Saif (Ali Khan, my husband) and I are both quite open,” says Khan. Even from the media, we parents never really hide anything. We feel that if I show respect, I will also be shown respect, so pictures of my children are taken. I am unable to request or plead for it. But if I’m going to be on par with everyone else, they must respect our right to privacy. In all honesty, it has succeeded.”
The 42-year-old claims that anytime she asks paparazzi not to take pictures of her kids at school or with friends, they respect it. She is now filming for Rhea Kapoor’s The Crew. We must come to a mutual agreement, she continues, because respect is what she expects in return. Khan has also been classy enough to frequently publish photos of her family on social media.
I respect my Instagram followers and have occasionally shared parts of my life with them. My followers are still so attached because I make everyone feel like they are a part of my life, the actor remarked with a smile.
Since embracing motherhood, her priorities have also changed, and she does very little work. She claims, “I’m a 24/7 mother, a really practical person, and I enjoy doing everything. The majority of my life has been spent as an actor after that. I would say that today I am 70% a mother and 30% an actor.” I am able to pursue and carry out my passions, such as raising awareness of issues like encouraging children to read.
Like many other women, Khan juggles her personal and professional responsibilities. However, if the same action taken by a man is viewed through a different lens, it becomes a significant event. Khan chuckles and quips, “People assume that about women and believe that they can accomplish anything. Obviously, we can. However, today’s actresses are a little bit more assertive and bold. It’s no big thing, they say. We don’t want to be spoken to differently (or even a multitasker).
