Janhvi is the daughter of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi. She acknowledged that her family draws attention, but in a recent interview, she claimed that her work is ultimately what has made her famous.
“I am aware that some are ready to accuse me. They tell me to look at how excited she is if I’m grinning too much in front of my gym one day. And how hopeless. If I’m having a horrible day, I have a big pimple on my face and I want to look down and just walk away, start my shoot or end it, it’s like ‘Kitni ghamandi hai’. he said at the India Today Conference on Saturday.
“Opinions don’t last, what lasts is your work, what you think about yourself,” continued Janhvi. These are all flimsy things. I’m glad people are paying attention to me. Everybody enjoys it. You cannot remove it from your head, though. Significance fades over time. My parents are to thank for any attention I am receiving right now. Even today, a significant portion of it stems from the family I was born into. And perhaps a little bit more recently, which I believe is related to the work I’m doing. Work is ultimately what it comes down to. It is not a matter of the shorts I wore to the gym. I don’t want to pursue such things, though.
With Varun Dhawan, Janhvi has already finished filming Nitesh Tiwari’s Baawal. She also appears in Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, where she portrays a cricket player. Rajkummar Rao, who also starred in Roohi, is in it.
