The 43-year-old Johnson and the “Dukes of Hazzard” star had Birdie in 2019, two years after Simpson told Ellen DeGeneres that she was jokingly expecting a child.

In her pregnancy announcement from 2018, she referred to baby No. 3 as a “surprise.”

Simpson said to People after Birdie had joined the family that having three kids was “no joke” because they were all “in such different phases.”

She stated, “It’s definitely continual, and the biggest problem for me is trying to stay present when I’m pulled in so many places.”

The actress made note of her desire to keep “connecting” with Johnson despite all the “divide and conquer” going on in her home at the time.

The couple has been married since 2014. Simpson was previously married to Nick Lachey in 2002, divorcing the 98 Degrees member four years later.
