The singer who was nominated for an Oscar is alleged to have had a brain aneurysm and had surgery. His status is steady, according to media sources.
After a ten-year absence, the singer, who is 58, just made his way back to England.
On Friday, she was scheduled to do a performance at the Yoko Ono Lennon Center at the University of Liverpool’s Tung Auditorium in London.
The Madras Academy of Music in Chennai recently awarded the acclaimed singer the distinguished title of “Sangeeta Kalanidhi” for 2023.
She was nominated for an Oscar for the song “Pi Ki Lori” from the Irrfan Khan film “Life of Pi.”
She is renowned for her unusual voice and her ability to sing in all four South Indian languages as well as Hindi. She was born in Kolkata to a Tamil family and reared in Bombay.
