Even after all these years, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s on-screen chemistry is still regarded as one of the most unforgettable in Hindi film. Kajol talked about collaborating with Shah Rukh in a recent interview while promoting her upcoming Disney+ Hotstar series The Trial. She also told a story about how the song Jaati Hoon Main by Karan Arjun came to be.

In the 1995 movie Karan Arjun, Shah Rukh Khan was paired with Kajol. Rakesh Roshan, who also directed and produced the movie, cast Salman Khan, Rakhi Gulzar, and Mamta Kulkarni in key parts. In the movie, Kajol portrayed Sonia Saxena.

Jaati Hoon Main Song Shooting

Kajol discusses how Shah Rukh supported her while she was filming the song Jaati Hoon Main in a recent interview with Mashable India. “We had a lot of fun. We probably had a lot of laughs together. I believe he came to give me the confidence to ask that the song be finished. The dance portion was simple. The hardest part was controlling my laughter, but I think there were certain instances where I reminded them of horses. He said, “Just shut up!” (laughter) Put an end to it. Please get it done! In the same interview, Kajol stated that Shah Rukh’s ability to come prepared with all of the actors’ lines for his shot is both aggravating and endearing. He stated that he doesn’t just want himself to perform well, but everyone else as well.
