Iulia Vantur recently sang a version of Lag Ja Gale Se Phir during a dramatic sequence in the Sikandar movie, starring Salman Khan. Iulia talked candidly about Salman Khan’s support during the same conversation. She mentioned the “emotional support” he provided her.
“To have someone who believes in your voice is very important. He was one person who believed in my voice and my talent. He encouraged me to do this, when I doubted myself. There were moments when I was not received so well. I understand,” the singer stated.
“At the same time, I had those people who were really trusting me. They really believed in myself more than I did. That was so important for me. I am really grateful for that because it is important to have that emotional support. It is important to have those people who are there for you. I feel blessed,” she continued. “I was singing Hindi songs out of the blue.”
Vantur added that although she had a stage on which to display her skills, she also had to cope with a number of other issues. But she valued her relationship and support from Salman. She joked that she also had to face her concerns of performing alone on stage. As she explained, “I had a platform to showcase my talent. Of course, when you are so visible, you have two sides, right? You have to deal with both of them. But when you are on the stage, there is nobody else. You will have to deal with that.”
