Simon Fisher-Becker (1961-2025)

On March 9, 2025, Simon Fisher-Becker, who portrayed the Fat Friar in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, died at the age of sixty-three. It is unknown what caused his death. The actor’s Facebook profile was used by his husband to announce his death.
Maggie Smith (1934 – 2024)

Maggie passed away in September 2024 at the age of 89, according to a statement made by her sons, Toby Stephens and Chris Larkin. The late actress had previously battled breast cancer and Graves’ illness, yet it is unclear what caused her death. Maggie played the professional Minerva McGonagall.
As Toby and Chris put it in a statement, “The loss of their remarkable mother and grandmother has devastated her five devoted grandchildren and two sons.” “A very private person, she was with friends and family at the end.”
