Vardhan Ketkar, a first-time director, has previously worked as an assistant on movies including Brothers (2015), Kapoor & Sons (2016), and Mubarakan (2017). Producing Gumrah are Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. With Arun Vijay and Vidya Pradeep in the key roles, it is the Hindi adaptation of the 2019 Tamil hit Thadam. On April 7, 2023, the thriller will be shown in theaters.

He took on the part of an ex-serviceman who works as a hotel employee and is on the hunt for a notorious arms dealer. Mrunal most recently appeared with Dulquer Salmaan in the Telugu hit Seetha Raman (2022). He also had a surprise appearance in the Akshay Kumar and Selfie movie last month.
