Global Entertainment Awards Names Regional Winners With Accolades For Creative Work On ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, ‘Squid Game’, ‘Wicked’

EXCLUSIVE: With work on a number of high-profile television shows, motion pictures, and video games receiving acclaim, the Global Entertainment Awards have announced its regional winners.

With categories encompassing trailers, behind-the-scenes content, key art, and social media campaigns, the GEAs honor the marketing and promotion teams that work on movies. This edition is the fourth one.

Creatives from Squid Game’s second season won awards for Best Teaser and Best Motion Poster, among other categories. Similar to last year’s Oscars, The Crown, another Netflix series, made numerous appearances. For its efforts on Season 6, it took home two Best Long Form Behind the Scenes honors this season. Mufasa: The Lion King won both Best Sound Design and Best Motion Poster.

The prizes are distributed among continents. Venom: The Last Dance won Best Short Form Behind the Scenes, Wicked won Best Experiential Marketing, and Dune: Part Two won Best Social Media Campaign in North America.

In the Europe category, Sky Showtime’s Polish hit Śleboda received Best 360 Campaign, Kneecap won Best Key Art, and Sky and Peacock drama Day of the Jackal won Best Trailer. In Latin America, House of the Dragon received Best Social Media Campaign while Despicable Me 4 took home Best Social Media Spot. In Asia Pacific, the Batman film franchise won Best Experiential Marketing.

Tim Cole, CEO of the Global Entertainment Awards, stated, “We are honored to be able to concentrate attention and further establish an appreciation of how central and crucial the creatives behind the promotion and marketing of entertainment are.” “The submitted work has demonstrated extraordinary quality and inventiveness.”

All regional winners and nominations are eligible to compete for a GEA award, since they are all considered for the organization’s Global Awards, which will be presented in the Algarve, Portugal, on March 1. Additionally, from February 28 to March 2, the GEA hosts a conference strand called the Insights Forum.
