Farhan Akhtar, an actor and filmmaker, met Gayatri Rathore, the government of Rajasthan’s principal secretary for tourism, here on Friday. He thanked her for the state’s recent introduction of the Film Tourism Promotion Policy, which aims to increase tourism in the arid region.

The policy makes sure that Rajasthan becomes a popular location for movie shoots and encourages them to do so. By highlighting the grandeur of Rajasthan’s cultural history, folk music, arts, and handicrafts, among other things, the move is anticipated to increase tourism.

Farhan Akhtar, who recently visited Rajasthan for research on his future movie, has expressed a strong desire to film the movie there.

On his experience, Farhan Akhtar remarked, “The Government of Rajasthan’s policy to promote film tourism is admirable. This will improve the state’s film tourism industry and draw more visitors. Rajasthan’s rich cultural past has me impressed, and I would love to shoot my upcoming movie here.

The state has a lot to offer in terms of scenic beauty, engrossing history, and rich culture, according to Rathore. I think doing a movie here will be a fantastic experience.

Rajasthan has traditionally been a favorite location for filmmakers because of its beautiful forts, palaces, and vibrant markets. By allowing uninterrupted filming to take place in the state, the Film Tourism Strategy seeks to capitalize on this potential.

It makes it easier for filmmakers and production companies to access different filming locations throughout the state and secure licences and clearances from the necessary authorities.

The strategy has received high praise from the industry, and numerous filmmakers have expressed interest in shooting their projects in Rajasthan.

The state administration anticipates that this strategy will aid in promoting tourism within the region and create job opportunities for residents.
