Diljit Dosanjh To Portray Param Vir Chakra Awardee Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon In Border 2

The Babina cantonment in Jhansi is now hosting filming for the much awaited military movie Border 2, which stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty in important roles. However, who else appears in the movie and what part do they play? Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, the only Indian Air Force commander to be awarded the Param Vir Chakra posthumously, will be portrayed by actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, it has now been confirmed. How will his role be performed, and when will he start filming?

Dosanjh is reportedly scheduled to join the Border 2 squad in April. He just announced on a podcast that he will take over for Sekhon, who served at the Srinagar air base during the India-Pakistan war of 1971 and defended it on December 14, 1971, against six F-86 aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force.

Preparation and Shooting Schedule

According to a source cited in a Mid-Day newspaper, Diljit is now filming Sardaarji 3, a Punjabi movie, in Scotland. By the end of March, he will start preparing for Border 2. For him, Anurag Singh has created a 20-day timetable from beginning to end.

The filming sites were also disclosed by the source. Wide-angle footage will be filmed in Kashmir, while the talkie segments will be filmed at the Bombay Flying Club in Juhu. Replicas of the Folland Gnat fighter planes and the Srinagar air base will be used to guarantee authenticity.

Sunny Deol’s Return and Film’s Vision

It has been revealed that Sunny Deol would return to his legendary role as Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri from the 1997 hit film Border, while details regarding other parts are still unknown. With Anurag Singh leading the Indian Armed Forces throughout the 1971 war, the movie seeks to portray their valor and sacrifices.
