The seventh game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT) recently ended at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

the Hardik Pandya-led group Delhi won the game by six wickets after scoring 163 runs in 18.1 overs. The DC bowler Anrich Nortje’s flamboyant wizardry caused the Titans to lose both of their openers, Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill, for cheap scores.

One of the game’s most notable talking points was Nortje’s blazing on-field performance, as his ferocious seam deliveries proved to be too much for the GT openers. After Nortje clean bowled Saha at 143.5 kph, he scored the game’s first run. His firing of Gill, however, received the greatest attention.

In the fifth over of the GT chase, Nortje bowled a scorching scrambling seam delivery that broke Gill’s defense when it came back on deck from a length. Gill, who was performing well, was dismissed because he couldn’t keep up with Nortje’s ball, which had a measured speed of 148.8 kmph.

Incidentally, it was the Titans’ second victory in a row in the championship 20-over match. After losing three wickets for a total of 54 runs while attempting to reach the mark, Sai Sudarshan stood up and helped his team. This cricketer from Chennai scored 56 runs in an unbeaten stand with David Miller (31) and Vijay Shankar (29 off 23) to help the Titans win their second straight match. With the help of four fours and two sixes, Sudarshan reached 62 runs in 48 balls without being dismissed.
