Shah Rukh Khan, the biggest star in Bollywood, started filming a song scene for Rajkumar Hirani’s next movie Danki on Wednesday at the Sonamarg tourist site in Jammu and Kashmir.Shah Rukh Khan arrived in the Valley on Monday and immediately traveled to the Sonamarg hill station in the Ganderbal district, where he is staying with actress Taapsee Pannu.
Sonamarg in Srinagar and remote Dal Lake locales were part of Danki’s four-day filming schedule in the valley, according to sources in the film unit.
The dinky song segment at Sonamarg features the Thajwas Glacier as a breath-taking backdrop and the sparkling waters of the roaring Sindh stream meandering across the meadow.
Race 3 and Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” were among the most notable films to recently shoot in Sonamarg.
Sonamarg has always been the star of hugely popular romantic Bollywood films like “Silsila” and “Kabhi Kabhi” by Yash Chopra.
Several tourists visiting Sonamarg these days have found King Khan’s coming to be an additional attraction.
Together with visitors, young people from the area are swarming the hill town to see their heartthrob Shah Rukh Khan.
