Cat’s Eyes’ Renewed For Season 2 At TF1- Filmy Fire

Three estranged sisters, Alexia, Tam, and Sylia, are the focus of the French art heist series by Newen Connect, which is based on the artwork of Tsukasa Hōjō. In an attempt to finally learn what happened to their father, who vanished 12 years ago in an unexplained fire at his art gallery, they get back together and make the risky decision to take a piece of art from him.

Season 1, which starred Camille Lou, Contance Labbé, and Claire Romain, was co-produced by Germany’s ZDF and broadcast on TF1 and Prime Video in France. Season 2 is not yet available on Prime Video.

The Big Band Story-produced show’s first season has already pre-sold to 32 territories internationally including Switzerland (RTS), Belgium (RTL) and Italy (RAI), and will likely be in the conversation at the upcoming London TV Screenings.

Newen and TF1 talked up the show’s ratings. Season 1’s first ep was watched by 6.7M viewers and delivered the best launch amongst 25-49 year olds since hit detective series HIP, according to the French major.

“The second season was always on the cards with a brilliant cast, compelling storylines, and adventures across Paris’ best spots like the Eiffel Tower or Le Louvre,” stated Rodolphe Buet, CEO of Newen Connect. We are excited to continue this amazing journey with TF1 and producer Big Band Story for Season 2, since Newen Connect saw the program is potential from the start.

Michel Catz, who co-wrote the series with Antonin Martin-Hilbert, Justine Kim Gautier, Anne-Charlotte Kassab, Coline Dussaud, Audrey Gagneux, Sophie Maurer, Mari Mouazan, and Mohamed Benyekhlef, and Alexandre Laurent (Women at War, The Bonfire of Destiny) directed Cat’s Eyes. Benjamin Dupont Jubien and Mehdi Sabbar of Big Band Story co-produced the first series for TF1 in collaboration with Prime Video and ZDF.
