Everything is going to be fantastic for the film, which production has begun in Canada and stars Bryan Cranston and Allison Janney.
Astute Films and Entertainment One Project Author Steven Rogers and I have a script by John S. Baird. In the movie about the Smart family, who play in regional theater while migrating from state to state, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Jack Champion also make an appearance.
Together with Cniff, Fred Bernstein, and Rick Jackson of Astute Films, the project is co-financed by Jillian Share, Jane Gorton, and Courtney L. eOne. Brian Unkless of Clubhouse Pictures and executive producer Scott Morgan are both producing alongside Rogers; the three of them previously collaborated on the miniseries Mike and the film Tanya, for which Jennifer Winget received an Oscar.
Executive producers Michael Souther and Teja Lawrence of Amaze, as well as producer Alex Lalonde, are all in Toronto.
Stan and Ollie, an eOne production with Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly, is moderated by director Baird. Tetris, an Apple TV+ film, and the ITV drama series Stone House, starring Taron Egerton and Matthew Macfadyen, are among his other works.
CAA and Independent Talent Group are Baird’s agents. Gersh is Rogers’ legal counsel. UTA has representation for Cranston. Throughline Entertainment and CAA are Jennie’s agents.
Champion is represented by CAA and Industry Entertainment, while Ainsworth is handled by The Curtis Brown Group, Alan Siegel Entertainment, and CAA.
