“I am precisely that bold and resolute in real life. I’ve met people from the fashion fraternity over the past two years who have noticed my appearance, claims the 33-year-old.
She explains how these professionals “she said, “I’m just so much more at ease with myself,’ I encouraged her. I have a lot more self-acceptance now. Every performance and red carpet I attend is entirely about me.” The external world is evolving. I now understand that I have always loved myself. I have always been a strong girl. Everyone has a road to go on. I’m more open-minded and committed than ever to revealing who I truly am to people today.
Fashion regulation follows experimentation. Is Pednekar bothered by it?
“Absolutely not, she responds, “For me, beauty and fashion are very soothing. I’d like to think that when I started publishing beauty blogs and cosmetic tutorial videos, my journey began in a state of lockdown. Prior to that, I was quite anxious when I released my first video because I wasn’t sure whether this was something I should be doing, but after that, it became very therapeutic for me and I received a lot of support for it.
“It started lightly when I chose to bring forward areas of my life and I honestly do that for myself,” she adds of others adopting her style. I adore style. I’ve always loved fashion, too. I like to adopt it as much as I can these days. Thus, this is coming from a very genuine place of obsession with fashion and beauty. And I’m not bothered by the fashion police.”
