Sit down! Production on the much awaited Avengers: Doomsday has started, according to Marvel Studios. The announcement surfaced during a livestream that unveiled the whole cast of the movie. A number of well-known characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are among the cast’s many newcomers. The movie, which was directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is scheduled to open on May 1, 2026.
Marvel has confirmed the return of a number of X-Men characters and superheroes from the Infinity trilogy. Robert Downey Jr., who was recently revealed as Doctor Doom, brought the announcements to a close. “It all leads to Doom” is the text that appears on his announcement post.

Marvel has undoubtedly gone above and beyond to get some of the biggest performers ready for Doomsday. However, the announcements exclude several names. The ensemble does not include actors Tom Holland from Spider-Man, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch.
