The 68-year-old does not go unnoticed since he enjoys reading articles about persons in his age group. “New scripts are written, but they’re not being written by screenwriters in their 70s; rather, authors in their 30s are doing it. No certain type of hero is necessary for Indian cinema nowadays. I recently won Best Actor,” exclaims Kher.
This also explains why he is so committed to staying fit. His social media shows that he exercises, is learning to swim, and more. This is also due to the overwhelming number of older actors vying for the same job. “Being physically healthy benefits us in more ways. When people are casting you for movies and they notice that you’re trying to get in shape, it not only inspires them with confidence because you’re a terrific actor, but it also makes them hungry. I, for one, am famished. I would never claim that this is the best field because there is never a curriculum and there is always something fresh taking place.
