Amitabh Bachchan, a seasoned performer, responded to India winning two Oscars at the 95th Academy Awards. Amitabh said on Twitter on Tuesday: “Hum jeet! (T 4585) Do you jeet? We exist for both the people and the nation! We won!! a) a b) c) d) e) f) g) g) Oscar 95.” A landmark day for Indian filmmakers and viewers was marked by the Oscar victories of RRR and The Elephant Whispers. “We have gained.. the long expected recognition.. taking the reward in the eyes of the beholder.. those who create; provide.. and deliver.. at last,” Amitabh wrote on his blog. “But are we so cognizant of the attention.. yeah, we are not considered.. but we receive.. and earn it..”
More from him: “Yet, a focus that is ruled and governed by a foreign country makes us proud of our accomplishments. We are not any less than anyone else. and Let’s see.. There is still a long way to go.. But I think just a small portion of society practices all that and accepts the interpretations that are being made.”
In the original song category of the Oscars, RRR’s well-known song Naatu Naatu triumphed over well-known performers including Lady Gaga and Rihanna. On behalf of the group, lyricist Chandrabose and composer MM Keeravani accepted the honor. Director SS Rajamouli, principal actors Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, and other audience members watched singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kala Bhairav perform the song live on stage.
The Elephant Whispers was recognized as the best short documentary film. Karthik Gonsalves, the director of the movie, and Guneet Monga, the producer, took the stage to accept the award. In Tamil Nadu’s Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, a family adopts two orphaned baby elephants, which is the center of the movie’s plot.
