On Thursday, Amisha Patel took to Twitter once more to support her co-star Simrat Kaur in Gadar 2, which also stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as Tara Singh and Sakina. Simrat has worked in a few Telugu films, including Dirty Hari, and a Hindi film called Soni. Simrat was trolled for her past work. Ameesha’s tweet received backlash from her followers, who blamed Simrat for becoming a target of trolls due to her initial tweet.
Ameesha posted on Twitter on Thursday, saying, “As a girl, I ask everyone to only spread positivity and do not shame any girl! Let us encourage new talents!!” She spent the entire evening fighting the hatred surrounding Simrat Kaur, who is partnered opposite Utkarsh Sharma in Gadar 2.
Why Did Ameesha Patel’s Tweet Get Negative Response?
It appears that Simrat Kaur was the target of trolling after Ameesha stood up for her after someone posted a private video of Simrat and another actor on Twitter, raising doubts about her casting in Gadar 2. Ameesha received a lot of backlash from her fans regarding her tweet, with some saying, “Good marketing style,” others, “Good strategy but we will not fall for it. You should not have entertained them in the first place,” still others asking, “Defending or promoting,” and a comment that said, “Defending? Just take a look at your timeline.”
Amisha’s Tweet for Simrat Kaur on Wednesday
“Dear @ameesha_patel ma’am, we @iamsunnydeol sir’s fans and you are very worried to see all these lewd and lewd videos and images of that girl @simratkaur_16 opposite @iutkarsharma in #Gadar2 Are. How can @Anilsharma_dir cast him in a clean film like #Gadar2 when he has done such a shoddy job?” Ameesha, inadvertently brought attention to this tweet when she responded to it, saying, “Hey my dear fans!! Please stop speculating!! It is a humble request to you to watch Gadar 2 in theaters on August 11th and give it all your love!!”.

“I know you are trying to reach out to all your fans, but accidentally retweeting slanderous fans on others is not cool Is. Be careful with such fan conversations,” a Twitter user said in response to multiple disparaging remarks made about Simrat in the post.
Anil Sharma is the director of Gadar 2, which opens in theaters on August 11 and competes with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2. In the lead role, Utkarsh Sharma, who played Tara Singh and Sakina’s son Charanjit “Jeete” Singh in the 2012 original film when he was a child actor, is Anil Sharma’s son.
