Pamela Adlon will serve as the chair of the jury, and Amanda Seyfried and Happy Valley alumni James Norton and Sally Wainwright will be contributing some celebrity power to this year’s Series Mania.

Seyfried will be there to promote her Peacock series Long Bright River, which is competing internationally and has its French premiere. Seyfried portrays a Philadelphia police officer in Long Bright River, a film based on the Liz Moore novel, who works in a drug-ridden neighborhood where a string of killings occurs.

Alongside Cooper Raiff’s Hal & Harper, which Raiff is expected to attend, Joe Wright’s Mussolini: Son Of The Century, and Israel-America’s The German from Yes Studios, Long Bright River is competing internationally.

Pamela Adlon, who won an Emmy for Better Things, will serve as the head of the jury for these shows. The jury will include French actress Karin Viard (In the Shadows), British filmmaker Minkie Spiro (3 Body Problem), Argentinian-American actor Ignacio Serricchio (El Recluso), and Victor Le Masne (musical director of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris).

Norton, who portrayed Tommy Lee Royce in the popular BBC sitcom Happy Valley, will also discuss bridging the gap between executives and talent with Patrick Holland, the head of Banijay UK, and Kitty Kalestky, his co-founder at Rabbit Track Pictures.

The program note states that “an increasing number of on-screen performers are assuming a larger role behind the camera, managing their own production labels, and taking more control of their work both creatively and financially.”

Norton and Kaletsky, who appeared on the cover of our most recent issue of MIPCOM magazine, recently debuted the ITV drama Playing Nice and are upcoming in the CBS Studios series King and Conqueror.

Wainwright is also scheduled to speak with Roanna Benn, the head of Drama Republic, on her “new creative adventure.” The Happy Valley filmmaker will “discuss with the audience how she works and where she derives her inspiration from.” She has created Riot Women for BritBox and the BBC.

Sky Studios CEO Cécile Frot-Coutaz and Heartstopper EP Patrick Walters are also scheduled to speak. Prominent figures such as Gerhard Zeiler, the international CEO of WBD, and executives from the French broadcasters were previously announced to attend the meeting.
